Copper River Highway
View the Child Glacier and the Million Dollar Bridge built in 1910; but also the wildlife along the highway. Frequent sight-seeing of black and brown bears, moose, mountain goats, beaver and many species of birds.
Library
Located on First street in an adjacent building of the museum. Open 1pm to 8pm Tuesday through Saturday.
Museum
Located on First street. Native artifacts and some information about early explorers. Exhibits of the mining and the railroad in relation to expansion of the town. Open 10am to 6pm Mon-Sat, and 2pm to 4pm Sundays. Tours available. For details call (907) 424-6665.
USFS Building
Original building built in 1925, located on 2nd street. Open 8am to 5pm, only on week days.

EVENTS

Iceworm Festival Held in late January or early February. Offers art show, a parade, dance, a survival suit race, and an election of an Iceworm queen and king.
King Salmon Derby
Held in June at the Fleming Spit. Cash prizes.
Silver Salmon Derby
Held in August. Cash and merchandise prizes offer to participant for daily and weekly prizes.
